School-Work Alternation

For secondary schools

Palazzo Strozzi

In response to the recent Italian education reform and to meet upper secondary schools’ requirements, Palazzo Strozzi has put together a year-long school-work alternation scheme for secondary schools in the Florence municipal area.

For the academic year 2016/17, Palazzo Strozzi cooperated with the Liceo Michelangelo and the Istituto Machiavelli-Capponi, involving sixteen students in the scheme. Participants got a chance to explore many of the organisational issues that go into making the Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi’s exhibitions happen.

On Thursday 1 June 2017 Palazzo Strozzi devoted a special evening to young people entitled #StrozziNight, an event organised by the group of students involved in the School-Work Alternation Scheme in Palazzo Strozzi.

For the academic year 2017/18, Palazzo Strozzi will be cooperating with the Liceo Artistico di Porta Romana in Florence and the Istituto Ernesto Balducci in Pontassieve.

Palazzo Strozzi is more than just exhibitions, it’s also a workshop for experimenting with new ways of relating to art with activities and events for families, young people and adults.
Guided tours, lectures, workshops for families and schools and access programmes: Palazzo Strozzi offers everyone the chance to shape their own encounter, turning their visit into an absorbing and stimulating experience
