He accepts Swiss architects Jacques Herzog and Pierre de Meuron’s offer of a role as artistic consultant on their project for Beijing’s National Olympic Stadium ahead of the Games. The stadium is scheduled to open in 2008. He curates the Ai Qing Culture Park project in Jinhua (the city where his father was born) in Zhejiang province, inviting seventeen architects from seven different countries to take part in the project and designing both a memorial for his father and a museum of ancient ceramics.
