Wikipedia Training

Free and accessible culture is an important aspect of training for students and for citizens in general. To tie in with the Dawn of a Nation. From Guttuso to Fontana and Schifano exhibition, a new cooperation scheme is being launched by the MAB Toscana (Musei, Archivi, Biblioteche) group, Wikimedia Italia (association for the dissemination of free knowledge) and the Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi.

Working with Silvia Bruni and Susanna Giaccai (MAB), Manuela Musco and with Andrea Zanni (Wikimedia member and President of the Association from 2014 to 2016), a group of university students will be taking part in a formative event devoted to Wikipedia, exploring its potential as a tool for making the content of Palazzo Strozzi’s exhibitions more easily accessible.

The training will enable the students to familiarise with the characteristics of Wikipedia and help them to make full use of its potential to disseminate art and culture.

Project produced in conjunction with:
MAB Toscana, Wikimedia Italia, Professor Tiziana Serena (SAGAS – Università degli Studi di Firenze).

Palazzo Strozzi is more than just exhibitions, it’s also a workshop for experimenting with new ways of relating to art with activities and events for families, young people and adults.
