Following the success of the first edition, the encounters in the Art School scheme are starting again in the autumn to tie in with the Natalia Goncharova. A Woman of the Avant-garde with Gauguin, Matisse and Picasso (28 September – 12 January) exhibition. The programme consists of a cycle of six encounters exploring various artistic techniques in considerable depth.
Natalia Goncharova, a crucial figure in the Avant-garde in the first half of the 20th century, made the multifaceted approach the key to her style, shifting from painting to illustration and stage design. Taking its cue from this multifaceted approach, the new edition of Art School focuses on illustration, engraving and painting.
The workshops are conducted by artists wo experiment with more than one style or technique in their work, and who combine theoretical knowledge with practical skills.
