Art exhibitions offer a space to engage with the history of the past and reflect on the present. They are places where visitors can experience the power of aesthetics, and at the same time, they can become stimulating environments for learning a foreign language.

Speak Loud is a project developed by Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi for anyone studying Italian who would like to use the setting of an exhibition as a space to express themselves freely, learn new vocabulary and build on the language skills acquired in the classroom through a direct encounter with art. The workshop is designed for adult language learners as well as international students undertaking a course of study in Italy.

The activity is structured in two parts: an introductory session designed to create the ideal setting for discussion and to share the vocabulary that will be explored during the visit, followed by a second part that takes place in the exhibition galleries, in front of a selection of works. The works in the exhibition Broken.
