Discovering Archaeology in Tuscany

To tie in with the Power and Pathos. Bronze Sculpture of the Hellenistic World exhibition hosted at Palazzo Strozzi in Florence (14 March–21 June 2015), and subsequently at the J. Paul Getty Museum in Malibu, Los Angeles and the National Gallery of Art in Washington, Tuscany will be celebrating and rediscovering its own archaeological heritage. Setting out from Palazzo Strozzi and from Florence’s Museo Archeologico Nazionale, which will be hosting its own exhibition entitled Great Small Bronzes. Greek, Roman and Etruscan Masterpieces from 20 March to 21 June 2015, the itinerary proposes a tour of some of Tuscany’s major museums and most fascinating archaeological sites often situated in the region’s most beautiful natural surroundings, to allow visitors to delve further into some of the issues addressed in the exhibitions.
