The tours are part of a programme of events for autumn 2017 entitled “Leonardo Savioli 100. The Legacy of a Tuscan Architect a Century After His Birth”, devoted to the first centenary of the birth of celebrated 20th century Tuscan architect Leonardo Savioli (1917–82). Held in various sites in Florence and Tuscany, the events, involving some of the most important local and national institutions, are designed to allow participants to rediscover Savioli’s work, designs and thought as a key to developing the public’s sensitivity to Tuscany’s architectural and cultural heritage.

Leonardo Savioli 100 is a project devised by the Fondazione Giovanni Michelucci, the Regione Toscana, the Centro per l’Arte Contemporanea Luigi Pecci Prato, the Archivio di Stato di Firenze, the Fondazione Architetti Firenze and Tempo Reale, and produced with the support of the Città Metropolitana di Firenze.
