If you had to convince a group of strangers to visit a place which changed your life, what would you tell them? Today, just as in the past, travelling is an opportunity for growth and new experiences. Whether it’s for fun, adventure, study or work, a trip is always a discovery, an introduction to different cultures, and a moment for reflection, at times also difficult.

The exhibitions Americans in Florence and American Dreamers approach the theme of travel from two different points of view. Americans in Florence shows the look of American painters and writers who came to Florence between 19th and 20th century, while American Dreamers comprises a reflection on the work of artists who use fantasy, imagination and dreams to build alternative worlds to the increasingly complex reality of life today.

A journey in three minutes invites you to travel through the eyes of others; an exchange of stories which will allow us to share the full range of experiences that journeys can offer.
