The surprising life of books Activity for families with children 7 to 12 years old

From 07 April 2024

To 30 June 2024

  • Sunday

With paintings, sculptures and installations, Anselm Kiefer transforms the rooms of Palazzo Strozzi and creates an engaging dialogue with each person who views his works.

During the activity The Surprising Life of Books, we visit the rooms of the exhibition Anselm Kiefer. Fallen Angels and discover how this great artist finds inspiration in books to create works full of stories and materials such as lead, seeds, earth, flowers and sand.

The artworks are the starting point for individual observations and group sharing, while sensory experiences and hands-on activities in the rooms allow us to experience the exhibition in a playful and fun way.

In the workshop we take up what we discovered during the visit and complete the experience by experimenting with words, images and materials dear to the artist to generate a transformation between the pages of a book.

The Surprising Life of Books is designed to be carried out by adults and children together: the exhibition thus becomes an opportunity to experience art with the whole family.

Reservations required. Limited seats.
Activities are free with the exhibition admission ticket.
