Interactive Rooms – Power and Pathos

Power and Pathos. Bronze Sculpture of the Hellenistic World has three interactive rooms that offer visitors a chance to explore art in different and unconventional ways.

The first interactive room, produced in conjunction with the Frilli Gallery, explores the bronze casting process and allows visitors to familiarise themselves first hand the steps of bronze production with a replica of the head of Ephebe (Idolino from Pesaro). The second interactive room, produced in conjunction with the Fonderia Artistica Ferdinando Marinelli and the FabLab in Cascina, allows visitors to study the concept of originals, copies, and forgeries of bronze statues by comparing replicas of Athena (Minerva of Arezzo) in different materials and formats.

Lastly, the Reading Room offers a selection of books for visitors of all ages on themes addressed in the exhibition. In this room participants of “Mystery of the Missing Statue” game can leave genuine or fake clues to help other visitors… or throw them off the scent.
