Family Kit – Rothko in Florence
A material to visit the exhibition together
from 14 March 2026
to 23 August 2026
- Available for free at the ticket office and online
The Family Kit is the tool that Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi has devised for families (suitable for ages 5 and up). It is designed to explore the Rothko in Florence exhibition and to experience art together in a fun and creative way.
The Family Kit takes the form of a map and suggests an itinerary through the exhibition to discover the art of Mark Rothko. Through interesting facts, insights, and observation suggestions, families are invited to discover the artist’s story and do activities in front of his large canvases, where colors meet and overlap.
With the Family Kit you can look, imagine and learn—sharing art together while discovering paintings made of endless shades of color that seem to move across the canvas.
The Family Kit is designed to be used independently by families in the rooms of Palazzo Strozzi and is available free of charge:
– the hardcopy version can be picked up at the Palazzo Strozzi ticket office;
– the digital version can be downloaded at home (available soon).
The Family Kit is a Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi project. Illustrations and graphic design by Giovanni Colaneri.
The Family Kit is produced with the support of Beyfin S.P.A.
