From 19 October 2021

To 25 January 2022

  • Tuesday
18.00-18.30

Every Tuesday at 18.00, 30-minute tours of the Jeff Koons. Shine exhibition are conducted by students of the Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze. Half an hour devoted to the art of Jeff Koons, to allow us to discover the more salient moments in this great American artist’s career and to explore the cycles of works on display in the exhibition, from the Equlibrium series of the 1980s to Celebration, a cycle of large sculptures in stainless steel with colourful, reflecting surfaces.

Each tour is devoted to a selection of works and offers a key for interpretation focusing on a particular aspect of Jeff Koons’ output. The tours are conducted by students from the Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze who have taken a training course in the art of communicating art. The group’s members on this occasion are Benedetta Baini, Dario Benvenuti, Elisabetta Cicali, Giorgia Genoviva, Lucrezia Mot and Giulio Nencini.

Half an Hour of Art is a project produced with the generous support of Unicoop Firenze and is part of a programme of activities developed to foster formative experiences for students through the exhibitions at Palazzo Strozzi.

In compliance with measures designed to contain the spread of COVID-19, no more than 15 people may join any one tour. Masks must be worn throughout the tour. For further information please see our safety measures to be complied with.
