Stories of mountains, seas…

The traditional Chinese books of old speak of distant countries, mountains and mysterious rivers inhabited by weird animals…
Taking our inspiration from these tales of fantastic journeys, we explore the exhibition rooms hosting artist Ai Weiwei’s large works of at, using observation, narrative and games to discover the many things that a work of art can tell us. In the workshop we experiment with, and breathe life into, fabled creatures that then become the figures and characters in new stories.
