Olafur Eliasson: Nel tuo tempo is the largest exhibition ever yet held in Italy of work by one of the most original and visionary contemporary artists of our own age.
The exhibition, the result of direct intervention by Olafur Eliasson on the spaces of Palazzo Strozzi, consists of an engaging tour of new installations and historical artworks that use such elements as colour, water and light to create an interaction with our senses and the Renaissance space.
The tour of the exhibition devised for university and art academy students comprises an in-depth exploration both of the main features of Eliasson’s work – his interest in architecture and in the world of science and technology, psychology and human perception – and of the concept of co-production between the artist, the Renaissance palazzo and visitors.
The tour begins in the courtyard of Palazzo Strozzi, under a large installation entitled Under the weather (2022), and continues on the Piano Nobile. Participants can then visit the section of the exhibition hosted in the Strozzina, which includes unique interaction with the artworks, under their own steam once the tour is over.
