Every Tuesday at 18.00 a 30-minute tour of the Olafur Eliasson: Nel tuo tempo exhibition is conducted by students from the Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze. The half-hour tour explores a selection of exhibits to discover the art of Olafur Eliasson, taking in both new artworks specially created by the artist to interact with the architecture of Palazzo Strozzi and historical works that have marked the stages of his career, based on experimenting with the potential of light and water, scientific research and the study of perception, since the 1990s.
Each tour is devoted to a selection of artworks and offers participants a key for interpreting a given aspect of Olafur Eliasson’s output. The tours are conducted by students taking the Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze’s Degree Course in Museum Education who have attended the special training course focusing on communicating art.
Pause for Art is a project produced with the support of Unicoop Firenze in collaboration with the Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze, and is part of a programme of activities devised to foster educational experiences for students through the exhibitions of Palazzo Strozzi.
