Ticket office and advance sales

The ticket office, located in Palazzo Strozzi’s Courtyard, sells tickets for the exhibitions, Amici di Palazzo Strozzi membership cards and the Firenzecard. The ticket office is open daily from 10.00 to 19.00.

We strongly recommend purchasing your ticket online to ensure direct access to the exhibition and to minimize waiting times. Tickets can also be purchased at the Palazzo Strozzi ticket office on the day of the visit.

Tickets purchased in advance unused for reasons for which the organizer is not responsible cannot be refunded.

Guided tours and groups

For all groups (of five people or more) wishing to visit the exhibition, advance booking and purchase of tickets are compulsory and must be made through the booking office.

Florence Santa Maria Novella railway station (high-speed and regional trains) is a 6-minute walk from Palazzo Strozzi.

By plane

The Florence Amerigo Vespucci Airport is about 20 minutes from Palazzo Strozzi by car and by Tramvia line T2.

The Pisa Galileo Galilei Airport is about 1 hour and 30 minutes from Palazzo Strozzi by car and by regional train.

By bus and tram

Palazzo Strozzi can be reached with the main urban bus lines of Autolinee Toscane. The nearest stops are: Santa Maria Novella station, Via Tornabuoni, Piazza della Repubblica.

The nearest stops on Tramvia lines T1 and T2 are: Alamanni – Stazione, Valfonda – Stazione.

By car

The nearest exits on the A1 Bologna–Florence motorway are Firenze Nord and Firenze Sud. Palazzo Strozzi is located within Florence’s Limited Traffic Zone (ZTL).

Visiting rules

Rules of conduct

Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi pays special attention to its visitors. In order to ensure the highest possible quality of the visiting experience, the cooperation of all visitors is essential in respecting the following rules inside the exhibition spaces.

Access is permitted only with small bags. Backpacks and larger bags must be left in the cloakroom.

Only assistance pets for visitors with disabilities are allowed. Other animals, even small pets, are not permitted in the exhibition spaces.

Food and drinks are only allowed outside the exhibition rooms.

You may take photographs and videos only with non-professional devices.

You may take photos without flash. Tripods and selfie sticks are not allowed.

Visitors must keep a safe distance and must not touch the artworks.

Cloarkroom

There is a free cloakroom service for visitors to leave their bags and backpacks in lockers (with combination locks) while they visit the exhibition. Visitors are required to leave all luggage, backpacks, parcels, umbrellas, and bags larger than 35 x 30 x 10 cm (13.5” x 11.5” x 4”) in the lockers.

Toilets and baby changing facilities

On the first floor of the Palazzo there are restrooms reserved for exhibition visitors, equipped to be fully accessible to visitors with disabilities.
In the courtyard there is a restroom reserved for customers of the Strozzi Bistrò.

A baby changing table is available for exhibition visitors and is located inside the restroom on the first floor.

The Palazzo Strozzi exhibition rooms are barrier-free.

The entrance with an access ramp to the Palazzo is located on Via Strozzi. If needed, you can contact the ticket office by pressing the button or calling the number indicated.
An elevator located in the courtyard is available to access the exhibition floor.

Visitors can request at the ticket office the use of the wheelchair located in the cloakroom on the first floor.

The restrooms in the exhibition areas are accessible to people with mobility disabilities.

Palazzo Strozzi is committed to making its exhibitions increasingly inclusive by organising a series of accessibility projects for people with autism, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, intellectual disabilities and mental distress.

Bookshop

At the end of the exhibition route there is a bookshop managed by Marsilio Arte, offering a selection of publications and merchandise related to the current exhibitions.

Wi-Fi

Palazzo Strozzi offers visitors free Wi-Fi connectivity.

The innovative location-based technology supplied by Cloud4Wi – a company founded in Italy and operating globally with offices in New York and San Francisco – allows the creation of a new Wi-Fi connectivity through which visitors can receive content, interactions and information, give feedback and access services directly on their smartphones, ensuring an engaging multichannel experience throughout all Palazzo Strozzi spaces, from the courtyard to the exhibition rooms.

Even if online availability appears to be sold out, this does not prevent you from purchasing your ticket directly at the ticket office on the day of your visit.

Booking the date and time slot of entry when purchasing tickets in advance is mandatory only for organised groups (consisting of five or more people) and school groups, and must be made through our reservations office by calling +39 055 2645155 or by sending an email to prenotazioni@palazzostrozzi.org.
The reservations office is open from Monday to Friday, from 9.00 to 18.00.

No, it is not possible to book your admission ticket by email or telephone and pay for it at the ticket office at the time of your visit to the exhibition.

You can use your ticket on a different date and/or in a different time slot from the one originally booked by handing in your ticket at the ticket office when you visit and purchasing a DATE CHANGE (CAMBIO DATA) ticket for € 2.

You can book a guided tour of the exhibition for your group by contacting our reservations office in advance from Monday to Friday, 9.00 to 18.00, by calling +39 055 2645155 or by sending an email to prenotazioni@palazzostrozzi.org. Once your reservation has been made, you will receive a confirmation email with instructions for completing payment.

The guided tour service costs € 100.00 per group (max. 20 people), in addition to the exhibition admission ticket.

Animals – including small pets – are not allowed inside the exhibition spaces. Assistance pets for visitors with disabilities are allowed are of course welcome.
